Stone Pine Trail: The perfect walk for dogs

Pure nature and lots to discover

Wherever Nina Radman goes, a.k.a Berries & Passion, her dog Tobi goes as well. He was really happy in the Gastein Valley - lots of nature and dog-friendly hotels are waiting there for four-legged friends. However, Tobi needed all his courage when it was time to go on the chair lift at the Graukogel.

Retro is what you would call the chair lift on the Graukogel. It’s also a part of the special experience if you decide for a walk on the mountain. For Nina, it was about going on the Stone Pine Trail, which has been lovingly designed for visitors at the top of the Graukogel. During the walk, it’s all about the name with Stone Pine artworks as far the eye can see. The side of the trail is lined with Stone Pine beds, mirrors or swings and lovingly placed small works of art. This circular hiking trail is suitable for all fitness levels.

Tobi ran back and forth along the road, sniffing the plants and hopping into the puddles of water on the side of the road. No matter where he goes, he always comes back and checks everything is all right. The trail through the Stone Pines does them good. The special Pine Cones have properties that work for humans and animals alike. If you sleep in a Stone Pine bed, your heartbeat slows down, your body rests easier and you feel more rested even after a short sleep.

“A really very nice and above all comfortable hiking trail, which is also no problem for children (and/or dogs). The trail is signposted and there are small stations, where you can dive into the world of Stone Pine.” Nina Radman

The trail takes about 30 minutes and leads back to the Mountain Station of the chair lift, where Nina treated herself to a final refreshment. Ski water, in other words raspberry juice with soda water, is refreshing on a hot day. What could be better?
