Experience winter wonderland up close #altzau
The starting point was the newly renovated Hotel Rosner in Altenmarkt. From here, our explorers discovered the winter wonderland. The program included snowshoe hikes, ski tours, night tobogganing, skiing and regional “delicacies”. It also offered a carriage ride through the winter landscape, a smudging hike and telescopic star tour, yodelling course and bread baking. And of course, in December a visit to the romantic Altenmarkt Advent Market was not to be missed. For their physical well-being, regional delicacies were provided in the huts and hotels. Energy reserves were recharged with one or two bacon dumplings eaten with pleasure after diverse days. On the culinary walk, the influencers enjoyed all kinds of regional delicacies.
Ski Hotspot & Home of a World Champion
Zauchensee is home to ski world champion Michael Walchhofer, one of the most successful downhill skiers in Austria. It is also regarded as one of the ski hotspots in Ski amadé for freeriders and experienced skiers. But even off the slopes, Altenmarkt-Zauchensee is an insider’s tip for your winter holiday in SalzburgerLand and this was proven again during the impressive #myinstaweekend.

The nine outdoor influencers from Germany and Austria explored the unique variety of Altenmarkt-Zauchensee over five days.
