Business partners for SalzburgerLand

Numerous partners from the most varying business sectors strengthen SalzburgerLand to present itself as a top tourism destination. Renowned companies and brands are aware of the benefits of the Austrian province and support the tourism organisation within the scope of many marketing activities.

Cooperation partners from the beverage & culinary sector

Almdudler and SalzburgerLand Tourismus Gesellschaft (SLTG) have been working together on the most varying marketing activities since 2007. For instance, Almdudler is a close partner in the Salzburg Alpine Summer campaign.

SalzburgMilch is a Tauern Cycle Path partner, and has been a partner for the cycle path signage in SalzburgerLand since 1995.

Gasteiner Mineral Water is showcased as a strategic partner in the Alpine Summer in SalzburgerLand campaign. Due to its purity and well-balanced mineralisation, the mineral water from the Hohe Tauern National Park is ideally suited for refreshment on the hiking trails in SalzburgerLand.

Wein & Co has been a SLTG partner since 2013. Due to the cooperation, SalzburgerLand is able to arouse the desire among Wein & Co customers for a very enjoyable holiday along the Via Culinaria. Areas of focus are direct marketing campaigns, POS activities, media relations as well as events for top customers.

A longstanding partnership within the scope of the Alpine Summer in SalzburgerLand, Bauernherbst (Harvest Festival) and the leading culinary offers of the Via Culinaria links the Stiegl Brewery and SLTG. Furthermore, Stiegl has been a partner of the Eddy Merckx Classic since 2015.

The “Zipfer Tourism Prize”, which annually honours innovative projects and ideas in the sphere of tourism, has been realised together with Zipfer/Brau Union AG.

The “Austria – Region of Delight” culinary initiative known as GenussRegion Österreich (GRÖ) is a SLTG partner in the culinary sector. The GRÖ specifically aims to highlight the importance of regional specialities and thereby to provide a contribution for attractive and future-oriented regions.

Regionalism that can be lived has always been anchored in the Spar philosophy. That is why the Spar, Eurospar und Interspar supermarket chains bring the Bauernherbst (Harvest Festival) into their markets. (Link Bauernherbst)

The cooperation with the confectionery Berger Feinste Confiserie meanwhile focuses on several topics in SalzburgerLand. In addition to the Via Culinaria, the cooperation also builds on the Alpine Summer in SalzburgerLand. The “Alpine Summer Chocolate” from Berger stems completely from local suppliers and herbs featured in the Alpine Summer in SalzburgerLand. As a result, the chocolate is showcased as a perfect image carrier for the herbal initiative sponsored by SalzburgerLand. (Link VC)

The Society for Preservation of Traditional European Healing (TEH®) has set the goal to extol the virtues of regional, traditional treatments, remedies and rituals, to deal with these aspects scientifically, to revive them and bring them to the general population. With salt from the Salzkammergut region and handpicked Salzburg herbs the TEH has created the new “Salzburg Forest Salt”, a seasoning which pampers the palate with the taste of the forest and mountain pastures.

Partners from the transport carriers & arrival sector

Since 2009, airberlin has been the most frequented carrier from Germany to SalzburgerLand. Joint marketing campaigns on the German market aim to promote the attractive travel opportunity and to transport the touristic themes of SalzburgerLand.

Lufthansa / Austrian Airlines / Swiss International – the three carriers under the Star Alliance are important strategic partners of SLTG. International study trips with tour operators, press representatives, collaborations with presentations and press conferences as well as joint workshops take centre stage in the cooperation. The important source markets from Central and Eastern Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Saudi Arabia, the USA and Scandinavia constitute the area of focus in this regard.

Ryanair is an important strategic partner of SLTG. Since the spring of 2001 Ryanair has been flying to Salzburg Airport, and is therefore an important partner for incoming tourism in the city and province of Salzburg.

The Dutch airline Transavia is an important carrier that directly links the Netherlands and Salzburg 17 times per week in the winter.

Turkish Airlines is currently the world’s fastest growing airline with about 280 destinations worldwide. They take advantage of the international hub Istanbul with excellent connections worldwide – but most notably to Asia, India and the Middle East.

Due to the important connections between cities, Salzburg Airport is an important strategic partner of SLTG and also relies on joint marketing in this regard.

The cooperation with Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) ensures enhanced visibility of SalzburgerLand on Austria’s rails and especially gets people in Eastern Austria in the mood for a holiday in SalzburgerLand.

The German railway Deutsche Bahn (DB) is an important strategic partner with the development of the tourism market in Germany. The attractive connections to SalzburgerLand provided by DB support the sustainable positioning of SalzburgerLand. Joint campaigns aimed at the important source market Germany as well as joint press and media relations take centre stage in the cooperation.

Cooperation partners from the sports and tourism sector

As a competence partner in Alpine skiing and Nordic sports sectors, the SalzburgerLand company Atomic actively supports SLTG in fields such as communication, product configuration and operative event implementation.

The competence of Salomon and SalzburgerLand in the mountain and outdoor sports sector is demonstrated through the joint or combined presence on existing and new communication platforms.

SLTG and the Zell am See-Kaprun region have been exclusive tourism partners of the German Bundesliga football team and Champions League participant Bayer 04 Leverkusen since July 2013. This cooperation complements and enhances the touristic presence of SalzburgerLand in the important source market North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW). In addition to the promotional presence, the partnership also enables important impulses in the sphere of business and fan tourism.

Within the scope of the partnership with the top football club Red Bull Salzburg, an information day for Salzburg’s tourism professionals is arranged on a regular basis, or they are hosted in the Red Bull Arena during the “Salzburg Bauernherbst Harvest Festival”.

The intensive cooperation with Eddy Merckx Cycles in Belgium has been continued further. Founded by Eddy Merckx, the most successful racing cyclist of all time, the bike producer meanwhile markets his bicycles worldwide. In 2014, joint media collaborations were carried out, and the cycling destination SalzburgerLand was comprehensively integrated in the communication channels by Eddy Merckx Cycles with the cycling highlight Eddy Merckx Classic.

Within the scope of the initiative “Your Ski Comeback in SalzburgerLand”, Netzwerk Winter is an important partner that provides a substantial contribution towards creation of offers for those who are making a comeback in skiing.

The Association of Salzburg Professional Ski Instructors & Snowboard Instructors (SBSSV) is a longstanding strategic partner of SLTG and provides an important contribution to the offer of winter activities in SalzburgerLand. Within the scope of the initiative “Your Ski Comeback in SalzburgerLand”, Salzburg ski schools assume the vital task of professionally supporting the comeback of our guests in skiing.

SLTG has been an exclusive touristic competence partner since the opening of the JEVER FUN SKI HALL Neuss in 2001, and utilises this cooperation for targeted marketing campaigns in North Rhine-Westphalia, the most important source state in Germany.

Together with its partner regions Zell am See-Kaprun, Gastein Valley and Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang, SLTG has been an exclusive touristic partner of the indoor ski slope in Moscow since the beginning of 2009. The goal is to persuade new Russian guests to enjoy a winter holiday in SalzburgerLand by means of SalzburgerLand skiing festivals, 7,500 m² of advertising panels and current holiday offers by Muscovite tour operators.

Golf Alpin is a marketing cooperation featuring the federal provinces Salzburg and Tyrol, and aims to effectively and jointly market the offer of golf activities in the Alpine region.

The Austrian National Tourist Office (ANTO) is Austria’s national tourism organisation. As an important longstanding partner, the organisation continually implements successful joint projects at home and abroad. Within the scope of the “Alliance of 10” initiative,  SLTG participates together with the ANTO as well as the other eight Austrian provincial tourism organisations in a strategic and operative marketing cooperation in selected target markets.

Other partnerships

The high quality standards of the Via Culinaria and the brand Porsche as well as the harmonious combination of Porsche driving fun and culinary pleasure in SalzburgerLand form the foundation for a close collaboration. Porsche has been showcased as a strategic partner of the Via Culinaria since 2010.

Casinos Austria has been a strategic partner of the Via Culinaria on the culinary pathways in SalzburgerLand since 2011.

As an exclusive touristic partner of the CentrO Oberhausen, SalzburgerLand and its regions regularly a winter holiday mood over the course of six weeks to Europe’s largest shopping and leisure centre with the SalzburgerLand Mountain Christmas Market & the Flachau World of Winter with the “FlachauALM”.

The McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Salzburg has been a premium partner of the SalzburgerLand Card, the all-inclusive summer card provided by SalzburgerLand, since 2011.

Feratel media Technologies AG is among the leading international developers and providers of tourism information systems. SLTG is the general licensee for the entire province. In the meantime, offers from all Salzburg regions can be booked online as well as mobile via the feratel Deskline® system. Feratel has also been a technical implementer for the product “SalzburgerLand Card” since 2010.

Pappas Auto Ungarn is a subsidiary of the Salzburg Pappas company with head office in Budapest, and the automobile trading company is represented with a total of six locations. The focus of Pappas Auto Ungarn is on brands such as Mercedes-Benz, Smart, Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Kia and Fiat.

In the spring of 2010, SLTG entered into a cooperation which among other things encompasses PR campaigns as well as diverse online and POS activities.

The Raiffeisenverband is a solid cooperative banking company from the local economy which supports the Alpine Summer in SalzburgerLand campaign and the Eddy Merckx Classic cycling marathon as a main partner. The Raiffeisenverband Salzburg additionally appears as a premium partner of the Salzburg Bauernherbst Harvest Festival.

The Gössl traditional costume company is a longstanding partner of SLTG. The goal of this cooperation is the presentation of high-quality, contemporary traditional costume fashion by Gössl in the SLTG tourism marketing and the positioning of SalzburgerLand as a competence centre for traditional costumes.

In the course of the cooperation with furniture retailers XXXLutz, SalzburgerLand, its regions and partners have been able to prominently introduce marketing activities in the print and online sector within the scope of collaboration.

The Salzburg Festival is an important strategic partner of SLTG due to its significant role in cultural events.
