Today, we see the familiar picture: fog or low stratus in the north of the country and in many valleys and basins. In the mountain regions, most of the fog will clear up during the day, and above 600 to 800 metres, the sun will shine mostly uninterrupted. However, parts of the Flachgau region may remain cloudy all day. High temperatures will range from -2 to +6 degrees C.

On Monday, the fog over the inner Alpine valleys and basins will dissipate during the day, followed by mostly uninterrupted sunshine. The low stratus in the north of the country will persist longer, but the sun should break through more often in the Flachgau region in the afternoon. There will be a slight foehn wind in the Tauern region in the afternoon. Low temperatures between -11 and 0 degrees C, highs will range from -1 to +6 degrees C.

On Tuesday, south foehn will set in, with strong southerly winds blowing in some parts of the Tauern valleys. Apart from local patches of fog and low stratus, the sun will shine at least intermittently, with extensive and partly dense high clouds passing through the higher layers during the course of the day. Low temperatures between -8 and 0 degrees C, highs will range from 1 to 8 degrees C.

On Wednesday, there will be sunny spells amid variable cloud cover. The densest clouds will remain in the Tauern region, where there may also be a few drops of rain in places. There will only be a light foehn wind in the Tauern region. Low temperatures between -3 and +2 degrees C, highs will range from 4 to 9 degrees C.
