Afterwards, spacious sunbathing lawns invite you to relax while enjoying views of the surrounding mountains.
Exploring on two wheels
From leisurely cycle tours to challenging mountain-bike trails, the region offers suitable routes for every ability level. The Tauern Cycle Path and the Alpe-Adria Cycle Path also lead directly through the Salzburg Sun Terrace. E-bikes are available to hire from the local tourist office.

The Almenweg villages at the Salzburger Sonnenterrasse
Stages 3 and 4 of the Salzburger Almenweg lead through the Salzburg Sun Terrace, making St. Veit, Schwarzach and Goldegg ideal starting points for a hike along this long-distance trail. The route takes hikers past highlights including the Schneebergkreuz, Gamskögerl, Lake Böndlsee, the Kögeralm and the Drei-Waller Chapel before continuing towards Dorfgastein.
