This is what hiking amid the hill country of Salzburg is all about. And best of all: literally right there on the trail’s edge, more than 120 alpine huts inviting you to step inside, take a well-earned break and recharge your batteries over hearty regional specialties.

  • Connects all 25 valley villages of the Salzburg Pongau region
  • Over 120 mountain pastures lie along the trail
  • Over 90 % of the trail runs at over 1,000 m above sea level
  • Access points and feeder trails at every stage
  • Shortcut by cable car possible on some stages
