Developed in close collaboration with the Trapp Family, the museum celebrates the family’s Austrian roots while highlighting the remarkable journey that eventually led them to Vermont, USA. Through detailed miniature displays, historic photographs, fascinating background stories, and original recordings by the Trapp Family Singers, visitors gain an authentic insight into the family’s extraordinary life beyond the Hollywood classic.

The museum was officially opened in May 2026 in the presence of Kristina von Trapp, granddaughter of Maria and Georg von Trapp, making it a truly meaningful addition to the region’s The Sound of Music heritage. Whether you are a film enthusiast, a history lover, or simply looking for a unique mountain experience, the Mini Museum offers a memorable stop in one of the film’s most iconic locations.
