SalzburgerLand affects you in many ways! Above all, it has a positive effect on your health and well-being. Anyone who has ever treated themselves to a break in the SalzburgerLand – regardless of whether for hiking in the summer, enjoying winter sports or for a wellness weekend – knows about the relaxing effect. What makes a health and wellness holiday in SalzburgerLand so special?

Even a stay in alpine mountain air has a positive effect on health. It is scientifically proven that respiratory ailments are alleviated and the effect of fitness is optimised. In the Lungau region alone, 14 out of 15 villages are located at 1,000 metres above sea level.

Any holiday in SalzburgerLand means spending time in a unique countryside with various nature experiences. These experiences start in the Grossarltal valley, the “Valley of Mountain Huts”, which features managed 40 mountain huts and include snow-covered mountain peaks illuminated by the summer sun as well as the world famous Krimml WaterfallsKrimml Waterfalls, whose spray mist has a verifiable curative effect on asthmatics.

The many typical wellness treatments are completely natural. Whether it is honey, mountain pasture herbs, hay flowers or stone pine – nature has an effect in its own right! Local hosts know the ins and outs of these natural forces, and the particular know how to apply them properly.

Wellness hotels have adapted their offers to current trends. For instance, yoga and Qi Gong – preferably outdoors – are part of a comprehensive health holiday.
A holiday on a mountain pasture, without WLAN and mobile phone reception, is also extremely relaxing in times of digital inundation.
