Mountain biking in SalzburgerLand is one of the most beautiful and varied sports that one can experience in the local Alpine summer. Here we present for you the 12 best bike regions in the land, so that you don’t lose sight of the trail but do find exactly that region and the right offer which fits perfectly to your own requirements. Relaxed E-Mountain Biking

SalzburgerLand is an E-Bike Land. And that is how it should be! In summer, some regions are specialised solely on this topic and deliver everything a sporty E-Biker could wish for. From Wagrain-Kleinarl, the Tennengau region and the Wildkogel Arena, to Salzburg‘s Saalach Valley and  Zell am See-Kaprun, and onto Saalbach Hinterglemm and the Hochkönig region – they all guarantee carefree hours in the mountains along with an E-Mountain Bike experience that until now you could only dream about.

Bike Trails in SalzburgerLand

Freeriding on the many trails in SalzburgerLand is one of the most diverse and exciting things that can be experienced on a bike. Here you have everything from the after-work-tour on the latest lines in the Bike Parks, to lonely trails with views of the highest mountains in the land, to a relaxed alpine excursion. Above all, two new trails, the Matzalm Trail in Saalfelden-Leogang and the new Singletrail Großarl should be mentioned at this point. They offer everything needed to make every mountain biker‘s heart beat faster.

Bike & Hike – The new Alpine Duathlon

Anyone who has not yet tried out this mix of hiking and biking, should definitely do so this coming summer. These Bike & Hike tours combine the best of both worlds with an unforgettable adventure in the mountains. The Alpine Duathlon in Gastein is practiced especially diligently. And it is no wonder, as not only one of the most beautiful panoramas for far and wide awaits on the Gamskarkogel but also apparently the world’s best Kaiserschmarren in the mountain hut with the same name.

Salzburg’s Alpine Summer

There is already a special magic emanating from the Salzburger Alpine summer. While down in the valley life plays out in all its facets, and up above mountaineers celebrate lonely peaks, in between we can find one thing above all – the idyll and tranquillity of the Alpine pasture. Cows graze peacefully away, hikers reach cosy huts and eagles fly majestically around at sunset. What could be better than discovering this special world on a mountain bike? Equipped with a healthy dose of fitness, adventure and the spirit of discovery, you can wind your way around the heights. Motivation comes also from being inspired by the beautiful panoramas and from the approaching delicacies in the mountain bike huts. A good example is the five panorama tours in Flachau. Adventurous biking with views of the most beautiful peaks on the surrounding mountains. Always a true experience!

Bike for Kids

Biking in SalzburgerLand is also an unforgettable experience for children and youngsters. There’s hardly a sport that promotes fun, action, co-ordination and stamina as much as this. For example, in the Riders Playground in the Saalfelden-Leogang Region or in the mountains of Saalbach-Hinterglemm.
