The picturesque farming village is located on a plateau at 1,013 metres above sea level and is in the middle of the Hohe Tauern National Park area. Throughout the year, guests in search of peace & quiet as well as outdoor recreation will discover an authentic rural lifestyle in harmony with nature.

Embach is a village of farmhouses in the municipality of Lend, where you can experience an authentic country lifestyle first-hand. Whether in the ceramics workshop, in the herb garden with its seminar kitchen, in the stable or in the bakery, guests are always encouraged to get actively involved and truly experience what daily life on a farm is all about.

One special highlight for all summer holidaymakers is a unique, 6 km-long Mountain Golf attraction. Here at 1,013 m above sea level, you can tee off from an old horse-drawn sleigh or putt your ball through a field harrow. Along the route, three mountain inns serving popular local dishes provide all the refreshments you could wish for.

Equestrian fans, who would prefer to explore Embach on horseback, can pick up valuable tips from Alexandra Langreiter’s “Equestrian Embach” riding school while the kids have a delightful time enjoying a pony ride.

Traditional Herbalism

In the TEH-certified herb garden at the Hoadabauer farm, traditional local knowledge about the benefits of herbs is passed on to interested visitors. During regular herbal tours and workshops, interested people of all ages can discover this wonder of nature and also learn how to make simple household remedies themselves. The herb garden is freely accessible. Herbal products can also be bought and taken home with you.

Winter sport in Embach/Lend

In winter, guests can’t resist heading out to enjoy leisurely strolls, snowshoe hikes and backcountry ski tours in pristine snow. A beautifully maintained network of cross-country ski trails leads cross-country skiers out to the pilgrimage chapel of Maria Elend – one of the oldest pilgrimage sites in the Pinzgau region. Located right in Embach itself is a small ski area with a tow- and a beginners’ lift – an ideal opportunity for your children to glide across the snow for the very first time. But more well-known ski regions, too, such as the Rauriser Hochalmbahnen, Gasteiner Bergbahnen, Skiregion Hochkönig, Kitzsteinhorn Glacier Ski Area in Kaprun, the Schmittenhöhe in Zell am See and Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn, are all easy to reach within a radius of just 40 kilometers.
