In March and April, Salzburg comes into its most relaxed mood. The days grow longer, the sun gains strength, and the slopes offer perfect conditions. The snow is still there, the runs are impeccably prepared – yet the hustle and bustle of midwinter gives way to a pleasant calm. Skiing becomes a mindful moment of enjoyment rather than a race against the clock.

Winter is far from over here – it’s entering its premium phase. Sun, snow, and serenity merge into a new kind of luxury: no longing for far-off places, no rush. With sunglasses on, your eyes taking in the wide mountain vistas, and a broad grin on your face.

Especially at this time of year, it pays to get an early start on the slopes. In March and April, numerous operators and mountain lifts open their doors particularly early, making true early-bird skiing possible – quiet pistes, crisp morning air, and the first turns of the day all to yourself.
