There are the bike-areas of Saalbach Hinterglemm, Saalfelden Leogang, Zell am See-Kaprun, Hochkönig, Salzburger Saalachtal and the Hohe Tauern National Park Holiday Region. These include not only some of the most beautiful, demanding and varied cycling and mountain biking areas in Austria but also some of the most innovative within Cycling & Biking Pinzgau. Cycling & Biking Pinzgau has well over 750 kilometres of mountain bike trails, including hot and adrenaline-packed single trails, adventurous bike parks and the action-packed adidas Freeride Park in Saalbach. There are also the round trip and Trans-Alps tours, along with the Grossglockner as the biggest challenge of all and numerous other international bike events. This is just a few of the many highlights that belong to mountain biking in Pinzgau and make the region a true paradise for bicycle enthusiasts of all kinds. For Downhillers and Freeriders, there is one highlight after another. Here, everyone finds the adventure they are looking for. Because once you are infected by the “Biking in Pinzgau” virus, you never get rid of it and want to come back here again and again.

Down in the valley, about 500 km of cycle paths and tours run along the rivers and streams, up to the mountain passes, around Lake Zell and through cosy little towns, which invite you to rest and linger again and again. The Tauern Cycle Trail starts in Krimml and winds along the River Salzach to Zell am See and on to the state capital, Salzburg. Both families and friends of the road racing bike will find varied cycle trails on which everyone will feel comfortable, from beginners to professionals, from sporty and ambitious riders to pleasure cyclists.

And that’s exactly what makes this region so special. Here, everyone finds their own personal cycling or biking highlight.
