Early-Bird Skiing and Events

Where the sun carves, the slopes smile, and we shine together.

In March and April, Salzburg comes into its most relaxed mood. The days grow longer, the sun gains strength, and the slopes offer perfect conditions. The snow is still there, the runs are impeccably prepared – yet the hustle and bustle of midwinter gives way to a pleasant calm. Skiing becomes a mindful moment of enjoyment rather than a race against the clock. Winter is far from over here – it’s entering its premium phase. Sun, snow, and serenity merge into a new kind of luxury: no longing for far-off places, no rush. With sunglasses on, your eyes taking in the wide mountain vistas, and a broad grin on your face. At the same time, Salzburg’s spring season brings a wealth of exciting events: from skiing and culinary delights to joyful lifestyle experiences, there’s plenty to celebrate and enjoy in the fresh mountain air.

Especially at this time of year, it’s worth starting the ski day early. In March and April, many operators and mountain lifts open particularly early, allowing for true early-bird skiing – quiet slopes, crisp morning air, and the first turns of the day all to yourself. It’s the perfect way to enjoy the mountains at a peaceful pace, soak in the stunning winter scenery, and make the most of every sunlit hour before the crowds arrive.

Early-bird skiing meets springtime fun: early-opening lifts, pristine slopes, and exciting piste events await:
