Travelling from Germany
For holiday-makers coming from Germany, there is a SalzburgerLand Special train offered by the Deutsche Bahn. 14 times a day there are attractive direct connections with additional simple changeover connections. In summer, a journey with the Europa-Special is also very cheap. You can travel from Munich to Bad Gastein or Zell am See for just €19 per person. The train ride is especially worthwhile for families as children and grand-children under 15 travel completely for free into SalzburgerLand.
DB City Night Line
For holiday-makers from Northern Germany, the Rhein-Ruhr region or Berlin, there is also the City Night Line available. This overnight train by the Deutsche Bahn travels directly to Munich, so you can quickly travel onward into SalzburgerLand in the early morning completely refreshed.
