The summer mountain lifts take you up high – and directly into a breathtaking mountain panorama. You can experience as many as 30 three-thousand metre peaks over a leisurely breakfast at the summit of the Schmittenhöhe or on one of the nearby summit hikes. A walk along the high-altitude promenade or a long-distance hike on the Pinzgau Walk also offer unforgettable views.
The ‘Kaiserblick’ panorama platform is a special highlight for all fans of the views. Here you can enjoy a spectacular view of the majestic peaks of the Hohe Tauern – the perfect photo spot and a place to savour.
There are figures, play stations and viewing platforms to discover along the ‘Höhenpromenade’ panoramic hiking trail. There is also an exciting hiking puzzle to solve. On the Schmidolin’s Baptism of Fire adventure trail, with its varied stations and tests of courage, the family hike becomes an exciting adventure. Hikers of all ages can also look forward to a fabulous experience on the ‘Mystical Forest’ hiking trail on Zell’s local mountain.
E-MOTOCROSS ACTION FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY
The E-Motocross Park on Schmitten is ideal for environmentally conscious motorsport fans and those aspiring to be. Adults start directly at the mountain station of the areitXpress on one of the five KTM Freeride E-Motocross bikes! Meanwhile, young E-motocross riders venture onto the track with special Oset bikes at Schmidolin’s Fire Seat.
Get into protective gear, lower the helmet visor, start the engine, and onto the racetrack. Are you ready for this special outdoor adventure? The best part: At Schmittenhöhe in Zell am See, the whole family can speed off – the different areas in the E-Motocross Park make it possible!
AN ALL-YEAR EXPERIENCE: ART ON THE MOUNTAIN
A special highlight for all culture enthusiasts are Europe’s largest outdoor art spaces. Numerous oversized sculptures by international artists can be visited along the hiking trails and ski slopes in both summer and winter, making every visit an inspiring experience. The 4 Lakes Art Hike takes you from the summit along picturesque reservoir lakes and past many impressive artworks down into the valley.
