Birds of prey show – get up close to the eagle
A special highlight awaits you at the mountain station: the bird of prey show with falconer Peter Krizan will delight you at 11:00 and 14:30 during the cable car operating times. Watch as eagles, owls and falcons glide through the air – majestic, powerful and emotional. Peter vividly explains the way of life of these fascinating animals – a very special nature experience.
Gold rush in the mountains
At the middle station, young and old treasure hunters can wash gold flakes out of the clear mountain water themselves after an explaination from our experts at the gold panning centre next to the Heimalm – a souvenir that will last a lifetime.
Shiny treasures are also discovered when panning for minerals – ideal for little explorers, as a find is guaranteed here.
Experience nature with all your senses
A hike on Tilly’s forest nature trail combines exercise, knowledge and playful fun: Here, little explorers discover the animal, plant and mineral world of the national park. If you collect all the stamps on your hiking pass, you can look forward recovering a small gift at the valley station.
Around the Hochalm reservoir, the barefoot trail entices with very special sensory experiences: over stone, wood, bark or through water – even across the lake, over a 40 metre long path or through the cool water. If you like, you can go on a little adventure on a raft.
And at the water playground at the mountain station, children can build, splash and explore – a paradise for children in a safe environment. The wooden ball track guarantees fun for young and old in the middle of nature.
Yoga with a view
For anyone looking for peace and quiet, there is a weekly good morning yoga session on the mountain in July and August. A perfect start to the day with mindfulness and the freshest mountain air.
