Bauernherbst Villages
Visit the Bauernherbst in all these locations
The 76 Bauernherbst locations in the Salzburg region adorn their village entrances with the start of Bauernherbst in mid-August. This signals to guests upon arrival: Tradition and customs are celebrated and honored here. From mid-August to the end of October, the Salzburg Bauernherbst is celebrated in every Bauernherbst location, on village squares, farms, during the Almabtrieb (cattle drive from the mountain pastures), and at Bauernherbst restaurants. From convivial gatherings in the village square with music and dance to grand parades featuring all active traditional clubs, horse-drawn carriages, and brass bands, everything is included. Farmers' markets, craft demonstrations, and traditional performances will delight you with autumnal treats.
