Explorers in SalzburgerLand

Actually, the native Upper Austrian Stefanie is studying law in Salzburg where she lives in the heart of the old town. She knows the little streets off by heart. Why? Because she loves running through the city, along the Salzach River or on unknown paths which she discovers when she laces up her sneakers. No wonder then, that Stefanie was fascinated by Hohe Tauern National Park holiday region.

Food lover in the city

Stefanie is a real foodie. Whoever clicks through her blog “Stefaniegoldmarie”, will inevitably get hungry with Blueberry pancakes, vegetable dishes and smoothies on show. And because you cannot (unfortunately) eat all the time, Stefanie travels a lot outside her chosen home town. Above all, the nature does it to her. A weekend in the Gastein Valley, another in Tyrol. She particularly appreciates the diversity in SalzburgerLand.

First A-level, next Instagram

Stefanie started some years ago with Instagram and co. in the summer, when she had a little time for herself after completing her A-Levels. “I wanted to get the most out of those months”. It started with an Instagram account that was very focussed on food at first. To be able to prepare the recipes better for her readers, she developed stefaniegoldmarie.com. The success proves her right, with over 127,000 followers on Instagram Stefanie has built up a strong readership that digitally accompanies her on her adventures on the plate or in nature.

More from less: switch off in nature

As a student and full-blooded blogger, Stefanie leads a very exciting life at a young age. From Blogger events and contracts which lead her through the whole world, everything is included. With so many impressions, the 21 year ensures she gets as much sport as possible to be able to switch off. Or she spends lots of time in nature, far away from the stress of the city.

In the Hohe Tauern National Park holiday region, she could at least switch off a little bit. Together with her blogger colleagues Julia and Angie, she explored the regions of Rauris and Uttendorf for three days. And because the Internet connection in the Alps is virtually absent, she could enjoy unspoilt nature, hiking, stand up paddling and the local delicacies.

I must stress how lucky we should actually feel in Austria, to have such an unspoilt nature in our own country and not have to drive thousands of kilometres in order to experience this beautiful scenery.

The Sun thereafter – sunset on the Weißsee Lake

The three bloggers stayed overnight in the Berghotel Rudolfshütte. At over 2,500 meters, a wonderful panorama opens up there especially on the two reservoir lakes, which are easily reached from a hill right next to the Rudolfshütte. The Weißsee Lake and the Tauernmoos Lake are worth a stroll especially at sunrise and sunset.

Stefanie, are you rather still or sparkling?

I would say I’m both types – I’m still and sparkling, because I also don’t need too much tranquillity. But it is always good if you can calm down after a stressful day and have a bit of silence.
