The Obertauern region is located in the south-east of SalzburgerLand and belongs to two different boroughs, St. Johann im Pongau and Tamsweg/Lungau.
Obertauern sits at elevations ranging from 1,630 to 2,526 meters above sea level. This exciting alpine world of the Radstädter Tauern has so much in store for vacationers, both summer and winter.

In addition, visitors are drawn by beautiful mountain tarns and challenging alpine routes leading to the peaks of the Tauern massif.
