On Wednesday morning, rain showers will pass through, which may be heavier in the north. This will cause slippery conditions in some areas. Rain will be lighter in the inner Alps, but clouds will be thick there from the start. During the morning and at lunchtime, it will be dry across most areas, with some areas even seeing clearer skies. In the afternoon, however, light rain showers will return from the west. Along the Tauern mountains, there will be a moderate southerly foehn wind in the morning, but from the afternoon onwards, the westerly wind will dominate, reaching speeds of up to 40 km/h in the Flachgau region. Maximum temperatures: 4 to 11 degrees.

On Thursday, widespread clouds will prevail, barely allowing the sun to shine through. Already in the morning, a few rain showers will move across the country from the west. These will be heavier in some parts of the inner Alps and may lead to slippery conditions in isolated areas. Snow will fall above approximately 1,100 metres. During the day, the clouds will remain mostly dense, even though dry periods will clearly prevail. In the afternoon, rain showers will move in again from the west. In the morning, a light southerly foehn wind will be noticeable, but during the day the wind will shift to westerly directions and reach speeds of up to 40 km/h in the afternoon. Lowest temperatures: -2 to 4 degrees, highest temperatures: 4 to 10 degrees.

On Friday, the weather will be windy and changeable, but will improve rapidly as the day progresses. In the morning, there will still be some rain and snow showers above 1000 metres. There will also be strong to stormy westerly winds, especially in the Flachgau region. From midday onwards, the sun will soon appear from the west and the rest of the day will be dry. Lowest temperatures: -3 to 4 degrees, highest temperatures: 4 to 9 degrees.

Saturday will be dominated by thick clouds and, from the afternoon onwards, rain and snowfall. The sun will not appear in the morning, but it will remain dry. From midday onwards, precipitation will increase and the snow line will drop from 1,200 metres to the valley areas by the evening. Snowfall will intensify towards the evening, with heavy snowfall in some areas along the northern barrier regions. The wind will veer north on Saturday, reaching speeds of up to 50 km/h in the evening, and even more in the Lungau region with a north foehn wind. It will tend to remain drier there. Lowest temperatures: -6 to 0 degrees, highest temperatures: 3 to 6 degrees.
