Today, under the influence of a high-pressure system, we are experiencing sunny and stable late-summer weather. In some valleys, there will still be fog or low stratus until mid-morning; elsewhere, the sun will mostly shine from a perfectly blue sky. Maximum temperatures will range between 22 and 25 degrees.

Wednesday will start with sunshine, but as the day progresses, clouds will increasingly build up from the north-west. It will remain dry until midday, after which the first showers and thunderstorms will move in on the northern side of the Alps as the westerly wind picks up. Towards the evening, prolonged and at times heavy rain will spread across the region. Morning temperatures will range between 6 and 14 degrees, maximum temperatures from 21 to 26 degrees.

Thursday will start with thick clouds, but the rain from last night will move southwards by the morning. From around midday, the cloud will break up widely from the north and the sun will break through again, whilst the Lungau region will remain overcast and wet for longer. Morning temperatures will range between 8 and 13 degrees, with maximum temperatures between 14 and 19 degrees.

On Friday, as a low-pressure system moves across northern Italy, the weather will be mainly cloudy, with the sun making only occasional appearances. There may be light rain at times. Morning temperatures will range between 8 and 11 degrees, whilst maximum temperatures will be between 14 and 19 degrees.
