On Sunday, it will once again be quite sunny and very hot, but overall the weather will be somewhat more unsettled than recently. As the day progresses, many cumulus clouds will form over the mountains; in the afternoon, these may develop into thunderstorms, some of them severe, particularly in the Pinzgau and Pongau regions and, later on, in the Lungau as well. Locally, there is a risk of heavy rain, storm gusts and hail. In the Flachgau and Tennengau regions, the likelihood of thunderstorms is rather low, although the westerly wind may pick up considerably in the afternoon due to thunderstorms in Bavaria. Morning temperatures will range between 13 and 22 degrees C, with maximum temperatures between 32 and 37 degrees C.

On Monday, the heat will gradually ease off. In the morning, there will be plenty of sunshine with just a few clouds, but the warm, humid air will soon give rise to numerous cumulus clouds. From early afternoon at the latest, locally heavy showers and thunderstorms are expected across the board, which may bring heavy rain, storm gusts and hail. Morning temperatures will range between 12 and 20 degrees C, with maximum temperatures between 29 and 33 degrees C.

On Tuesday, there will be plenty of sunshine with a few clouds; as the day progresses, there will be some showers and, in places, heavy thunderstorms. The heat will continue to ease. Morning temperatures will range between 12 and 19 degrees C, whilst maximum temperatures will range between 28 and 21 degrees C.

On Wednesday, a cold front is expected to bring significantly lower temperatures than we have seen recently, although the details are still rather uncertain. The day will start with sunshine, but clouds and rain will soon spread in from the west. There may also be isolated flashes of lightning and thunder. A brisk north-westerly wind will pick up as the front moves in. Morning temperatures will range between 12 and 18 degrees C, with maximum temperatures between 21 and 25 degrees C.
