But the raw power with which it carves its way is not even visible at many spots.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wasserfaelle-krimml.at\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Krimml Waterfalls<\/a>: The highest waterfalls in Europe are essentially a must for all visitors. The trail leads up along a waterfall with a drop of 380 metres, and is always accompanied by the roaring and rushing of plummeting water. The mists of water on nice days not only provide cooling, but also standing rainbows. And many a small stream also provides cooling on hot days, or invites you to walk part of the trail barefoot in the water.<\/p>\n<p>The high-alpine reservoirs above Kaprun are also impressive: with four large reservoirs, dam walls against the panorama of snow-covered summits (the reservoirs alone are already above 2,000 metres), they are worth every ascent.<\/p>\n<h2>The deepest valleys \u2013 gorges<\/h2>\n<p>When mountain torrents carve their way through rocks over millennia, unique valleys \u2013 which could often not be explored \u2013 are created. But in SalzburgerLand we know that there is hardly anything more impressive than exactly these gorges: they have been made so that they can be experienced with wooden paths and narrow stairs and, are also secured with ropes.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.josalzburg.com\/en\/activities\/liechtenstein-gorge.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Liechtenstein Gorge<\/strong><\/a>: One of the longest and deepest gorges in the Alps is the prime example and should definitely be visited. The toll road is open daily from May to the beginning of November (depending on snow conditions, when the winter closure goes into effect).<\/p>\n<h3>Other scenic roads in SalzburgerLand<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/postalm.abtenau-info.at\/en\/summer\/postalm-scenic-road\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Postalm Road:<\/a> from Abtenau in the Lammer River Valley into the Salzkammergut region along 26 km through the largest contiguous alpine pasture area in Austria.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalpark-sommercard.at\/en\/sommercard-partner\/inklusiv-partner\/toll-road-kolm-saigurn\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kolm-Saigurn toll road:<\/a> located at the end of the Rauris Valley, this toll road leads to a true natural paradise. Thanks to the nearby national park, guests are treated to the sight of vultures and eagles here.
