In the biathlon, you combine cross-country skiing with shooting at a target. Standing or lying down, the big challenge is to calm your pulse enough at the shooting range in order to hit the small target. Not easy at all!<\/p>\n

Anybody can try their hand at biathlon on the Neuberger Sunshine Trail in Filzmoos<\/a><\/span> surrounded by pristine unspoilt nature. Guided by a cross-country expert with over 20 years of experience, you\u2019ll learn to hold a biathlon weapon in your hand and see what it\u2019s like to shoot at a small black disc and be taught cross-country skiing techniques. Regardless of whether you\u2019re a complete novice or ambitious amateur sportsman, an unforgettable experience awaits. You can also try biathlon at the following places: Lignitz Valley<\/a> in\u00a0 Mariapfarr\/Lungau, Altenmarkt\/Zauchensee<\/a>, auf der Gnadenalm<\/a> in Obertauern and in Goldegg.<\/a><\/p>\n

Ski jumping<\/h2>\n

Ski jumping is more than a spectator sport in Saalfelden, and you can learn to do it in both summer and winter month. The Felix-Gottwald-ski jump stadium in Uttenhofen offers unbridled winter fun for all ski-jump fans on their 4 winter and 3 summer jumps which range from 15-85 metres. Professional guidance ensures you\u2019ll get the hang of this in no time. This facility is run by the local ski club and welcomes visitors to learn, practise and get familiar with the basics of jumping.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Sch\u00f6nfeld <cross-country skiing trail and the trail at Prebersee Lake are the most beautiful. Faistenau is the cross-country skiing centre of excellence<\/a> in northern SalzburgerLand. Not far from Salzburg, over 60 kilometres of perfectly groomed trails are waiting to be conquered by classic cross-country skiers and skaters. A very special experience is the 5 kilometre-long night trail (skating & classic), which is illuminated daily until 9.00 pm.
