Bike Park Action<\/h2>\n

SalzburgerLand has developed in recent years into a true Eldorado for Freeriders and Downhillers.<\/span> The bike parks<\/a> in Leogang, Saalbach Hinterglemm, Wagrain and on the Maiskogel in Kaprun are among the best in the world and together ensure that this sport continues to develop explosively and the offer here is now unique in Europe.<\/span> So it goes without saying that these parks are venues for biking events that do not need to shy away from international comparison and show every year just how great the sport of cycling is here.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Watzmann-Hochk\u00f6nig Circuit<\/h2>\n

One of the absolute biggest biking highlights is the Watzmann-Hochk\u00f6nig Circuit<\/a>. This 3-, 5- or 10-day bike tour takes you off on a marvellous adventure in the world of majestic peaks, and delivers an adventure which you will be able to tell your grandchildren. The route comprises of a northern and southern loop, each of which is divided into 5 different stages. The Southern stretch, with an elevation change of almost 8,000m is a real challenge. But also the \u2018gentler\u2019 northern loop, with an elevation change of around 3,800m, still packs a punch. Particularly ambitious cyclists are not frigthened of both the there and back, with both loops being able to be completed in 10 days. <\/span><\/p>\n

Northern loop:<\/strong> 156km and 3,760m altitude<\/span>, ideal for 3 to 5 days.<\/p>\n

Southern loop:<\/strong> 283km and 7,975m altitude<\/span>, a challenge for 5 days. Variants between Golling and Ramsau\/Hintersee as well as between Maria Alm<\/span> and Bischofshofen<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Highest <\/span><\/strong>point<\/b>:<\/strong> 1,792m (Heinrich-Kieber-House)<\/p>\n

Signposts:<\/strong> The whole circuit is signposted<\/span> with the claret red<\/span> \u201cWatzmann-Hochk\u00f6nig-Runde\u201d signs<\/span>.<\/p>\n
