E-BIKE HIRE FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY<\/h2>\n

E-bike hire, 25 charging stations spread across the entire region, bike-friendly accommodation, easy bike transport with the cable car to the Almenwelt Lofer, organised bike tours and, above all, 480 kilometres of signposted bike routes provide the framework conditions for everyone in the Salzburger Saalachtal \u2013 from leisure cyclists to ambitious sports bikers \u2013 to really get their money\u2019s worth. When e-biking, the whole family can be taken along, everyone will find the right bike and so nothing stands in the way of exploring the mountains.<\/p>\n

As the Salzburger Saalachtal is particularly popular with families, children<\/a> can also enjoy e-biking. If they feel right at home in trailers behind their parents, older kids can also ride on their own and will find the right e-bike at the hire stations. Numerous bike tours are suitable for the whole family. These specially marked routes can be found on the region\u2019s tour portal<\/a>. Before you set off, here are a few important tips for biking with kids:<\/p>\n

  1. The condition of the children and the choice of tour<\/strong>
    \nThe choice of tour determines whether the whole family has a good time. The length and elevation gain of the bike route should be adapted to the children. If they are fit and have already cycled a few times \u2013 then it can be more.<\/li>\n
  2. Highlights along the route<\/strong>
    \nThe journey is the reward \u2013 at least with children this saying is always true. So you should definitely think in advance about the highlights along the route that will keep the little ones motivated. Many of them, such as the     wild swimming spots<\/a>, playgrounds<\/a> or the Saalachtal Natural Wonders<\/a>, are ideal for taking a break.<\/li>\n
  3. Refreshment stop or self-catering<\/strong>
    \nA good snack tastes particularly good after an exertion. Therefore, when planning your tour, make sure that there are refreshment stops along the route or that you take a home-made snack with you. Pack enough food and drink in case the tour does take longer.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Our tip:<\/strong> The \u2018Erste Reihe fu\u00dffrei\u2019<\/a> tour: this beautiful tour, which is also suitable for children, takes you across alpine meadows up to the Obermayrberg box seat. Duration: approx. 2 hours<\/p>\n

    FAIR-PLAY-TRAIL WILDENBACHSCHLUCHT<\/h2>\n

    The Wildenbachschlucht trail<\/a> is for anyone who can already cycle well on their own. The tour leads over firm ground and does not have a steep gradient, but also has some highlights for adventurers. Whether along a deep gorge or over wooden bridges without railings \u2013 you\u2019ll feel like a brave explorer in the middle of the wilderness.<\/p>\n

    TOUR TO THE LITZLALM AND THE KALLBRUNNALM<\/h2>\n

    The tour from St. Martin up to the Litzlalm and on to the Kallbrunnalm is also ideal for e-mountain bikers and sporty mountain bikers. The first crisp climb to Wildental awaits at the start, which should get bikers up to operating temperature. There\u2019s not much time to catch your breath afterwards, as the next climb is already waiting in the M\u00f6serwald forest. The Litzlalm soon comes into view, from where you can continue at a leisurely pace through the Wei\u00dfbach Nature Park<\/a> to the Kallbrunnalm. Before you make your way back to St. Martin or down to Wei\u00dfbach, you should definitely stop at the nearby Die\u00dfbach reservoir and enjoy a nature park speciality or two.<\/p>\n
