Even on the way into the valley, it\u2019s hard to keep your eyes on the ground. The surrounding mountains are too imposing, too impressive, and above all, too beautiful. They hint at the adventures and experiences waiting up there. Saukarkopf, Frauenkogel, and the other peaks \u2013 but that\u2019s just the beginning. With lines of varying difficulty levels, the park is perfect for improving riding techniques, learning new skills, and having a lot of fun. It offers an excellent platform to gain a better feel for the bike and trails and to prepare optimally for single trail rides or various mountain bike tours.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>THE SINGLETRAIL GROSSARLTAL II \u2013 MEDIUM<\/h3>\n<p>The Family-Flowtrail in Gro\u00dfarltal built in 2019. With its gentle average gradient of 10% and many banked curves, the trail is also suitable for skilled beginners and pleasure cyclists. At the middle station of the Kieserlbahn, it merges into the Singletrail Gro\u00dfarltal I.<\/p>\n<h3>THE SINGLETRAIL GROSSARLTAL I \u2013 MEDIUM<\/h3>\n<p>The trail, built in 2017, leads from the middle station of the Kieserlbahn through forest and over mountain meadows down to Gro\u00dfarl. (3.3 km, 450 meters of elevation gain).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.grossarltal.info\/en\/summer\/mountainbike-ebike\/single-track.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Together, the two trails<\/a> offer 10 kilometers and 1000 meters of elevation gain for trail fun!<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_580729\" style=\"width: 1180px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-580729\" class=\"size-1170_658 wp-image-580729\" src=\"https:\/\/www.salzburgerland.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/grossarltal_alm-c-david-schultheiss-1170x658.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1170\" height=\"658\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.salzburgerland.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/grossarltal_alm-c-david-schultheiss-1170x658.jpg 1170w, https:\/\/www.salzburgerland.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/grossarltal_alm-c-david-schultheiss-1200x675.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1170px) 100vw, 1170px\"><p id=\"caption-attachment-580729\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">\u00a9DavidSchulthei\u00df<\/p><\/div>\n<h2>GET OFF YOUR BIKE\u2026<\/h2>\n<p>\u2026because aside from the 140 marked mountain biking kilometers that let you climb 13,000 meters in elevation, there\u2019s a lot to see and to taste. This is ensured by the 40 serviced alpine pastures (more than half of which are directly accessible by bike), to which the Gro\u00dfarltal not only owes its nickname \u2018Valley of the Mountain Huts\u2019 but also where hungry bikers are supplied with all kinds of delicacies. One such place is the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.loosbuehelalm.at\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Loosb\u00fchelalm<\/a>. This can be reached after a rewarding tour through the Ellmau Valley. At the alpine pasture, bikers are rewarded with the best goat milk and goat cheese.<\/p>\n<h3>GROSSARLER ALMENRUNDE<\/h3>\n<p>For those who feel the urge to visit many of these alpine pastures at once, the Gro\u00dfarler Almenrunde is particularly suitable. This tour from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grossarler-genuss.at\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u2018Gro\u00dfarler Genuss\u2019<\/a> leads up the Sonnenweg to the Saukaralm. Next, you reach the Gro\u00dfwildalm and the Karseggalm, before a magnificent panorama unfolds at the Gro\u00dfwildalm. After visits to the Karseggalm, the Unterwandalm, and the Maurachalm, the route circles back to the starting point of the tour. While you can reach it by (e-) mountain bike, the journey continues on foot or via the via ferrata (<span>protected climbing route) <\/span>to the 2,048-meter-high Saukarkopf. This tour initially follows a forest road towards Elmau, before ascending approximately 800 meters to the foot of the Remsteinkopf. Why endure this? Because the panoramic views and delicious Brettljause (platter snack) are absolutely worth it. Convinced?<\/p>\n<h2>OUR TIP FOR EARLY BIRDS:<\/h2>\n<p>Breakfast tours.
