Of rich Princes and full milk cans<\/h2>\n

Butter, curd, yoghurt, cocoa, mountain cheese, hay milk chocolate. Non Solo Turisti<\/a> are somewhat surprised when they arrived at the Aubauer Organic Farm in Mondsee<\/a>. Two large vending machines with a wide range of different dairy products stand in front of the stable. Cars drive by every minute, products are selected and purchased. \u201cThat\u2019s how it goes all day,\u201d says Angelika Strobl, head of the Aubauer Farm. Almost every child in the area knows this organic farm. The Strobl family is a supplier of school milk to more than 80 schools in the area. From cocoa to whole milk, or strawberry-flavoured milk drink, healthy and organic drinks are all produced here. \u201cI loooove cocoa,\u201d Isabella gushes as she pushes the straw into the cup lid.<\/p>\n

These farmers are very open and regularly receive guests who want to look at the farm and take a look at the dairy production. These are partly people from the local region, but also from all over the world. \u201cReal Princesses and Princes from the East have already been here,\u201d says Angelika Strobl. \u201cOne Princess wanted to be photographed in traditional costume at the farm. No men were allowed to come near,\u201d the farmer recalls.<\/p>\n

The little \u201cprincesses\u201d, Isabella and Maya, eventually want to go to the cowshed. There, the mooing animals are watched as they eat and get milked. The girls venture over to the cows and gently stroke their heads. They have never experienced farm animals so up close.<\/p>\n

Bake, bake farmer\u2019s doughnuts<\/h2>\n

It is over 600 years old, the Erlachm\u00fchle<\/a> in Mondsee. Grain is still ground into flour in the only mill still in operation in the whole of Mondsee. Non Solo Turisti want to look at the way one of the most traditional desserts in SalzburgerLand is baked \u2013 the farmer\u2019s doughnut. At the Erlachm\u00fchle, the house\u2019s senior boss personally shows how doughnuts are baked according to an old recipe. Of course, participation is encouraged as you bake along with her. Afterwards, we go through the show mill, where the children are particularly impressed by the rustic wood-fired bakery. And, of course, from the bread and the farmer\u2019s doughnuts, which are tasted after the tour.<\/p>\n

Sweet pleasure in Attersee<\/h2>\n

A variety of honey products are produced at the Bienenhof in Attersee<\/a>. From wax candles and honey sweeteners, to small honey gifts and honey gummy bears, a wide range is created in the in-house production. When Non Solo Turisti enter the farm shop, they take a deep breath. The sweet honey scent spreads pleasantly throughout the room. Marco, Felicity and the girls are greeted by the boss in person and given a glimpse into honey production. Of course, this includes a visit to the bee population and a honey tasting at the end. Which honey tasted the best? \u201cAll of them!\u201d the girls shout together, biting into their beloved honey butter bread.<\/p>\n
