A region can be quite well explored in four days. And even though Ben and Mike<\/a> experienced so much, one thing has especially remained in their memory \u2013 the Sigmund Thun Gorge. A perfect moment in nature \u2013 as Mike called the gorge. Ben also raves about this natural wonder: \u201cmy absolute highlight was the gorge. There are wonderful compositions with the water and the autumn leaves. Incredible!\u201d<\/p>\n

Waiting for the right moment<\/h2>\n

The Sigmund-Thun Gorge is an experience for the whole family. These two explorers of SalzburgerLand started the adventure with cameras, tripods and large rucksacks. Every turn on the trail to the Gorge Lake offers a photo opportunity. And because they attach great importance to not changing their landscape shots too much using image editing programs, they take a lot of time to capture the right moment.<\/p>\n

This unique gorge is open from May to September, and this is exactly the right time-frame for a natural cool off in the hot season. Once you make it through the raging gorge, you reach a platform that reveals a view of the quiet Gorge Lake. This platform is the perfect photo spot for photographers. In the picture: mountain peaks, a cottage in the water and the turquoise-blue surface of the Gorge Lake.<\/p>\n

Roaring and powerful, the waters rush towards us \u2013 Sigmund von Thun<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

In winter, the gorge is indeed closed, yet there are still some walkable trails which provide stunning views. Not infrequently it happens that daring climbers heave themselves up the frozen waters of the gorge and you yourself become a spectator.<\/p>\n

What can be experienced in Zell am See Kaprun?<\/h2>\n

Head on up the Kitzsteinhorn<\/strong>
\nAt 3,029 metres a view of the entire valley opens up. Here you find yourself on the highest platform in SalzburgerLand. Quite unique!<\/p>\n

Sail across Lake Zell on the MS Schmittenh\u00f6he<\/strong>
\nA boat ride, which is nice. Extremely nice, when the Sun\u2019s rays reflect on Lake Zell and you can enjoy the views from the open deck. An absolute must on sunny days!<\/p>\n
