#1 Skiing on the Asitz<\/h2>\n

With the Asitzbahn cable car, you can go directly from Leogang up into skiing pleasure. In the Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn Ski Area<\/a>, you are spoilt for choice with 270km of slopes. This ski area is not for nothing known as the \u2018Home of Laid-Back. And of course, a stop-off in a hut is also laid-back. For example, in the Asitzstubn or in the Hendlfischerei.<\/p>\n

#2 Satisfy your hunger in the Hendlfischerei<\/h2>\n

We were also here in the Hendlfischerei<\/a>. It is located at the Asitz Mountain Station and is a part of the trendy Mama Thresl Design Hotel. For lunch, there is \u201cHuwis world famous roast chicken\u201d, but also ribs, swordfish and many refreshing drinks. Just right after a long day of skiing! And it is also beautiful to look at.<\/p>\n

#3 Night-time tobogganing on the Biberg<\/h2>\n

Tobogganing is popular in Saalfelden-Leogang in summer as well as in winter. Those who, just like the Best Mountain Artists<\/a>, are athletic and keen, do not take the shuttle to the starting point, but instead hike easily up for about an hour to the Berggasthof Biberg<\/a>. Up there, one takes a top-up before heading down with the toboggan on the natural toboggan run towards the valley.<\/p>\n

#4 Go on a ski tour<\/h2>\n

Often seen, but never actually tried out. The Best Mountain Artists tried out their first ever ski tour in Saalfelden-Leogang and were thrilled. The initial effort going up the mountain is rewarded with a magnificent downhill run. If you have no equipment, you rent can this for example at Sport Mitterer<\/a> in Leogang.<\/p>\n

#5 Hike to the hermitage<\/h2>\n

In summer, the hermitage is home to Stan Vanuytrecht, a bearded hermit. In winter he leaves here and you can enjoy the peace and tranquillity at 1,000 metres above Saalfelden. This hike takes about 20 minutes and is ideal for in-between or for rounding off after an active day.<\/p>\n

#6 On kilometres of cross-country skiing trails<\/h2>\n

The boards that mean the world must not always be skis. In Saalfelden-Leogang, this is true also for cross-country skis, because the countless kilometres of trails in this region can be explored in the midst of their white snowy splendour on long narrow skis.<\/p>\n

I particularly enjoyed the cross-country skiing training with Andrea Grossegge. The network of trails around Saalfelden-Leogang is particularly well developed, and thus you can explore many different corners of the region. \u2013 Konstantin<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

#7 Go to the lookout point at Lake Ritzensee<\/h2>\n

You have beautiful views of Saalfelden-Leogang not only from the surrounding peaks, but also from the valley. For this, you have an approx. 40-minute hike to the lookout point at Lake Ritzensee, starting from the same named Ritzensee. In winter, the trails are somewhat snowed over but with a bit of trudging through the snow and not too much effort you arrive at the top.<\/p>\n

#8 Visit the Nordic Park Experience<\/h2>\n

Once a year, the Nordic Park Experience<\/a> at Lake Ritzensee is held over two days. Sports such as cross-country skiing, ice skating and ice hockey can be tried out free of charge amid the breath-taking scenery of the lake and the surrounding peaks. There is chill-out music, a delicious BBQ from locally sourced ingredients and a lot of good humour.<\/p>\n

#9 Explore the region on snow shoes<\/h2>\n

Snowshoe hiking is in! Those looking to gently walk through the winter landscape and enjoy nature to its fullest should strap on snow shoes. With or without a guide, you can head into untouched corners or head out onto the Saalfelden Biberg, which is particularly suited for snowshoeing.
