#1 See the world from above \u2013 and dine deliciously<\/h2>\n

What would a trip to the mountains be without decent food? Not so fine. That\u2019s why the SalzburgerLand explorers Kenneth and Jesper<\/a> set out immediately on the day of arrival to the Mystic Mountain BBQ<\/a> on the Kitzsteinhorn. 2,500 meters above sea level, the two were received by the sounds of Alpine horns. The food is eaten directly from a stone plate at this BBQ. A full-bodied experience!<\/p>\n

#2 Look for a cosy place to stay<\/h2>\n

A skiing holiday means also having a cosy headquarters that warms you up again after a cold day on the mountain. Kenneth and Jesper stayed at the Tirolerhof<\/a>. In the 4*S Hotel, every wish is fulfilled between waking up and going to bed. And in between? Head into the spa area for a relaxing massage, for example.<\/p>\n

#3 Adrenaline kick: Paragliding with a view<\/h2>\n

Whoever wants to see the world from above must be brave. With a paraglide jump from the Schmittenh\u00f6he<\/a>, Kenneth and Jesper have shown that they have no fear of gravity. It was exciting nonetheless: \u201cThis time the first thing we did after arriving at the airport was touching the sky again \u2013 paragliding!\u201d This was such a crazy experience, really insane but truly chilled at the same time, luckily we didn\u2019t have much time for breakfast that morning\u2026\u2026\u2026. This should be on YOUR bucket list!!\u201d<\/p>\n

#4 Trying out an Alpine roller-coaster<\/h2>\n

Roller-coaster in summer? That\u2019s old hat! In winter, neither Kenneth nor Jesper have ever bolted down a snow-covered mountain. The Maisiflitzer<\/a> offers this special experience in Zell am See-Kaprun. But beware \u2013 at the beginning it looks slower than it actually is. Make sure you pack warm gloves and a hat. By the way: you can only carry a GoPro, other cameras are prohibited.<\/p>\n

#5 Skiing and Snowboarding: boards that mean the world<\/h2>\n

Where else, if not in Zell am See-Kaprun? Here, there are two great ski resorts available. On the one hand, the Kitzsteinhorn<\/a> with its many slopes varying in difficulty. And on the other, the Schmittenh\u00f6he. Kenneth and Jesper had the perfect skiing weather, a real \u201cDream Day\u201d, as they strapped on skis and snowboard and together with ski guide Niko carved down the slopes.<\/p>\n

#6 See the ICE CAMP on the Kitzsteinhorn<\/h2>\n

It\u2019s quite interesting what you can learn in the ICE-CAMP<\/a> on the Kitzsteinhorn. From January to April, this is a suitable meeting point at the summit. What is there to experience here? Three interconnected igloos, each 12 metres in diameter, 60 tons of ice, an ice exhibition by ice artist Max Seibald, the famous ice bar and a car.<\/p>\n

#7 Selfie at 3,029 metres<\/h2>\n

There are places which force you to take a Selfie \u2013 such as the panorama platform<\/a> on the Kitzsteinhorn. At 3,029 metres above sea level, it must look quite wonderful and this is confirmed with a view from above Zell am See-Kaprun \u2013 with this view there is no place for everyday problems. Jesper and Kenneth were enthusiastic:<\/p>\n

I would recommend the Kitzsteinhorn to everyone. I believe I have never had such an outstanding view in my whole life.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

#8 Taking photos above the fog at sunrise<\/h2>\n

Although the beds at the Tirolerhof are pretty comfortable, Kenneth and Jesper got up early to see the sunrise on the mountain. And it paid off. That moment when the sun touches the mountain tops \u2013 indescribable!<\/p>\n

Waking up, looking out the window \u2013 All Grey! \u2013 A small drive and you find yourself on top of a mountain looking down on the beautiful fog, curving up and around the pines. Scenic shit!\u00a0 \u2013 Jesper<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

#9 Icicle plucking on the Klammsee Lake<\/h2>\n

Who remembers from childhood the struggle for the biggest icicles? One thing is certain, those who would like a chance at the title, go to Zell am See-Kaprun and specifically to the Klammsee Lake. At the entrance to the Sigmund-Thun-Gorge<\/a>, one finds many icicles. They are not only beautiful for children to look at, but also photographers such as Kenneth and Jesper can spend lots of time here. If you walk on a bit further, you can observe ice climbers. Exciting!<\/p>\n
