A weekend in a Wes Anderson film? In SalzburgerLand, that is possible. Bad Gastein<\/a> stands for buildings from the Belle \u00c9poque surrounded by the Gastein Mountains. When you stroll through the town, a special charm is noticeable. A few years ago, Bad Gastein was in a so-called sleeping beauty sleep. Today, however things have changed with the young Gin bars, a Flying Fox across the valley and a coffee house near the waterfall all showing that Bad Gastein is cheerful and awake. Nina Radman aka Berries & Passion<\/a> was on the ground with her camera and even convinced herself.<\/p>\n

Step 1: Get an overview \u2013 with the Flying Waters<\/h2>\n

On arrival in Bad Gastein you are greeted by a valley through the middle of which a roaring waterfall flows. For some time now, locals and guests alike have been amused while getting a view over this town on a ride on the \u201cFlying Waters\u201d-Flying Fox.<\/a> Nina was also immediately harnessed into the Flying Fox and swung from one end of the valley to the other. Once she arrived \u201cover there\u201d, it was just a few minutes\u2019 walk to the Power Plant Caf\u00e9 where she treated herself to a cup of coffee on the terrace. The backdrop: the charming Bad Gastein.<\/p>\n

The old houses totally remind one of the Sissi time and you can certainly imagine why I felt so comfortable. We were also greeted with fantastic weather and it could not have been any better \u2013 great spring weather in the valley and snow and sunshine at the summit. \u2013\u00a0Nina Radman<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Step 2: meander through the streets of Bad Gastein<\/h2>\n

The best thing in Bad Gastein<\/a>? The charm of yesteryear! As you stroll through the streets of this small town, you can see why it was called \u201cWorld Cure Town\u201d. And then all of a sudden, you see a Scandinavian style coffee house. In\u00a0 The Blonde Beans<\/a> \u00a0Johan & Nystr\u00f6m serve coffee and home-made goodies.<\/p>\n\n\t\t\t
