Probably the most unique attraction in Bergheim is the famous Maria Plain pilgrimage church<\/a>. For those who don\u2019t want to drive to the Church, you can take the idyllic pilgrimage route via the Kalvarienberg. Once at the top you are rewarded with a fantastic view of the city of Salzburg. How beautiful it is up here was even appreciated by Leopold Mozart. In a letter to his daughter Nannerl, he wrote: \u201cOn Sunday morning going to Maria Plain, not out of devotion, but because of its beautiful views\u201d.
\nAlso the Interior of the Church is well worth a look. This church, with lots of gold, is punctuated by shades of white and blue, designed as per the Salzburg Cathedral model but has still retained the character of a rural pilgrimage site.
\n<\/u><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

You can get the truest sense of looking at the stars in the Voggenberg Observatory<\/a>. Public guided tours take place every Thursday under starry skies.
\n<\/u><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

Bergheim is ideal for trade fair visitors due to its proximity to the Salzburg Exhibition Centre, as well as the Brandboxx. Attractive seminar hotels perfectly meet the special requirements of the guests. Thereunder is the Hotel Gmachl<\/a> which as a family business has developed from a traditional Inn with a butcher\u2019s shop into a 4* Spa Hotel.

Water lovers feel at home in the Bergxi adventure pool<\/a>. Children\u2019s pools, a playground, slides and fun pools with water mushrooms delight children especially.\u00a0 And in winter the ice rink<\/a> also appeals, weather permitting.<\/p>\n
