The Mountains are a constant companion in Annaberg. Surrounded by the striking Bischofsm\u00fctze, Dachstein, the Gosaukamm and the Tennengebirge mountains you can experience this mountain world on no less than 300 marked hiking trails.<\/p>\n

A hike on the Gerzkopf<\/a> is particularly impressive. On the way up you will pass the fabled Schwarze Lacke, a habitat in which the peak of the Bischofsm\u00fctze is reflected. According to legend, a golden carriage was sunk there once and it\u2019s this which gives the water its golden-yellow colour.
\n<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

For those who have no desire for pure hiking, simply borrow clubs and balls from the Salzburger Dolomitenhof and connect the hike with a round of fun golf<\/a>.

@TVB Annaberg-Lungoetz<\/p><\/div>\n

One of the current most famous Annabergers is the multiple World Cup winner Marcel Hirscher<\/a>. He made his first ski turns in his native Annaberg. The Dachstein West ski-region<\/a> is also ideal for families with 119km of slopes with different requirements. Aside from that, 130km of prepared cross-country trails and plenty of winter hiking trails await.<\/p>\n

There is yet another famous Annaberger and that\u2019s the artist Professor Gottfried Kumpf.<\/strong> A Kumpf collection<\/a> can be seen in the grade II listed Gererhof Local Museum.<\/p>\n

Insider\u2019s Tip: <\/strong>In the Annaberger Winterstellgut<\/a> you can have wonderful breakfasts and brunches. Also the Picnic Basket with comfy blankets, sparkling wine, drinks, as well as sweet and savoury specialities leaves nothing to be desired. At Christmas time, a small but fine Christmas market with regional arts and crafts and Lammertal specialties is enticing.
