Christmas Markets especially for families

A visit to a family friendly Christmas market in SalzburgerLand makes the wait for Father Christmas a little bit shorter

For children Advent is a particularly magical time of year. The anticipation of waiting for Father Christmas reaches a peak the days just before Christmas. A visit to a family friendly Advent market in SalzburgerLand will be an experience not to be forgotten. Children can learn about the story of Christmas at the nativity scene, as well as having great fun riding the ponies, make Christmas handicrafts or hearing enchanted tales from story tellers. Christmas wishes can be written in a letter to Father Christmas and sent in the Christmas post. Children who have been well behaved do not have to fear the “Krampus” with their grotesque masks and jangling bells, for they will receive a present from the Holy St. Nicholas. Those who are brave enough can even have a photo taken with the Krampus, who are normally well behaved when in the company of St. Nicholas.
