The "City of Mozart" is transformed into a Bach metropolis. From the Festspielhaus to the Mozarteum, from the historic princely residences  to the most beautiful venues in the city and province, the 2008 Bach Festival will reign supreme over Salzburg and its historic environs, including Goldegg, Mattsee, Laufen, Michaelbeuern, Tittmoning and Mondsee.
And it intends to be a true celebration - a symbiosis involving the works of the Thomas Cantor, an encounter between young and old - in music and the general public, classical and jazz, traditional and modern.
