The "Wunderkind"
Autograph von W.A. Mozart, copyright Wien-Tourismus, Österr. Nationalbibliothek/MAXUM Born in Salzburg on January 27th, 1756; died in Vienna on December 5th, 1791. In the years between, a boy genius, freelance artist and - according to the Köchel catalogue - creator of 626 musical works.

The International Mozarteum Foundation in Salzburg is a private, non-profit organization whose goal is to preserve the Mozart legacy.
In addition to conducting valuable research, the foundation runs the Bibliotheca Mozartiana, a Mozart archive, Salzburg's museums and memorial sites, as well as the world-famous Mozart Week, which is held annually at the end of January.
