Whether easy, short paths or tough marathon courses – with 242 kilometers of biking to choose from, not including area roads, beginners, experienced riders and pros are all guaranteed to find their perfect route. Not surprising, then, that this attractive area has also drawn the best-of-the-best: in 2002, Zell am See-Kaprun staged the Mountain Bike World Championships and has played host in years past to a total of 13 World Cup competitions. Furthermore, in 2004 Kaprun also held the first UCI Mountain Bike Marathon World Series.
If you want to take things a little easier, e-bikes are also available, allowing you to climb the mountains even if you're not a true pro! A new bike park opened on the Maiskogel in 2011!
