There's no better, no more beautiful time to cut your own tracks in the
freshly groomed snow than bright and early in the morning, regardless of whether you prefer classic or skating cross-country technique. The "Grossarl Loipe" is a trail running from the Reitwiese to the historic "Kösslerhäusl" farm, whilst the "Hüttschlag-Loipe" takes skiers from Wolfau to the valley head. Some sections of the ski trail are floodlit after dark until 8:30 p.m.
A very special insider tip is the ca. 3 km-long high trail on the Saukaralm. At an elevation of around 1,850 m, it guarantees reliable snow conditions until late springtime.
