Soft mobility in Werfenweng

Werfenweng has dedicated itself to environmentally friendly tourism through its soft mobility project. Soft mobility means taking a break from your car, yet still being mobile. They will arrange your transport to the area with the train and the further option of electric vehicles, horse-drawn carriages, ELOIS (a free shuttle bus), your own private chauffeur and an environmentally friendly hybrid vehicle. Of course, e-bikes and e-vehicles in all their variations count towards this, hence this region’s classification as an e-bike region.

E-biking in the Salzburger Sportwelt

For a very special cycling experience, try out an e-bike on any of the well-marked cycle trails throughout the Salzburger Sportwelt. E-bikes can be rented in Flachau, Wagrain-Kleinarl, St. Johann, Radstadt, Altenmarkt-Zauchensee, Eben and Filzmoos. In these towns, there are a total of 20 e-bike tours which are all very close to e-bike rental stations and charging stations. In Filzmoos and Flachau there are also guided e-bike tours.

The Slow Bike Tour

This bike route was created in order to make the pristine landscapes and habitats of the Alps accessible to cyclists and e-bikers. It takes in the neighbouring regions of Salzburg, Berchtesgadener Land and Traunstein and connects the peaks of Gaisberg (near Salzburg), Högl (near Anger) and Buchberg (near Mattsee). Stretching over a distance of 160 km, it gives you the opportunity to explore areas of natural forest reserves, protected landscapes and nature parks, whilst ensuring your soft mobility will have no negative effect on the environment. The city of Salzburg is your starting point, and there’s perfect infrastructure over the entire route for e-bikers.
