The toboggan is one of the oldest examples of winter sporting equipment in the Alps - simply a classic.
To this very day, sledding along specially prepared or already existing paths down towards the valleys of SalzburgerLand is always enormous fun for young & old.
Many runs are floodlit, though you might well prefer the romance of sledding by torchlight.
SalzburgerLand offers so many opportunities for sledding adventures along natural runs: in the Fuschlsee Region, for example, from the idyllic Schafbachalm down into the valley and Faistenau; in the Tennengau, along the old Krispl road from Gaissau to Krispl; in the Hohe Tauern National Park Vacation Region, from the Nagelköpfel "Adventure Mountain" near Piesendorf - plus a number of other delightful runs.
On a run that is no less than 14 km in length, sledders drop an incredible 1300 m in elevation on their way back to Bramberg. You're allowed to ride anything that will slide downhill - whether an exciting racing sled, a traditional toboggan or a snazzy bob. This sledding adventure takes about 30 - 50 minutes to complete, depending on your ability level.
Incidentally: This run is floodlit from start to finish until 10 at night – adding an extra special kick to your nighttime experience.
